Stitched with Love & Prayers

Washington Conference members are sewing up a storm with making face masks! Thank you for sharing your talent!

One community partner, Debbi Saint, the coordinator of Congregational Health Ministries from CHI Franciscan, reports 7,000 masks have been donated so far toward a goal of 30,000.

Masks are still being accepted at medical facilities throughout the region (you’ll want to check with local requirements as there are some variants). In addition, we encourage you to make masks for you, your family, your neighbors, homeless shelters, food banks, nursing homes, local nonprofits, and fellow church members.

Children’s Ministry leaders here in western Washington have a goal of 4,500 masks for Valley Medical Center in Renton and community partners. If your homemade masks haven’t been counted in a different tally, you are welcome to add your masks to this tally list!

If you have mask making or drop off questions, please contact Elida Jerez (Pierce County) or Nitza Salazar (King County). You may also check with mask making efforts in your local county. Local connections are best!
