Fresh Details • Pick up a copy of the Accent newsletter each evening at camp meeting to find up-to-date program information! You'll find the newsletter in Rainier Auditorium and at the Information Booth.

Need a Prayer Partner? • The Prayer Tent is always open during camp meeting. Leave a prayer request. Pray alone, pray with friends or pray with a prayer partner. Prayer partners are available daily from 9 am to 2 pm, and from 4 to 7 pm. You’ll also find prayer partners around campus wearing “iPray” shirts.

Hearing Enhancement • The PA booth in Rainier Auditorium has hearing enhancement devices available. Photo ID is required.

Media Shack • Pre-order all your camp meeting CDs and DVDs through the Media Shack before or by Thursday. Recordings are available of the main meetings and many classes. Questions? Call (253) 833-9722 or stop by the Media Shack.

Children's Safety • Help us keep your children safe. Please obtain a security wristband for children from walking age to 6 years old. Safety bands are available at children's divisions and Guest Services (Security).

Nurse's Station • The Nurse's Station (located at the west end of Miller Aquatics Center) offers basic first aid each day from 10 am to noon and 1:30-3:30 pm. You can also page a nurse through Security. For life-threatening situations, call 911.

Pool Schedule • Miller Aquatics Center is open First Friday and Sunday through Second Friday. Bring your swimsuit, goggles and a pool towel!

How to Call Security • Dial (253) 939-5000, ext. 360, at any time. Security is open 24 hours a day throughout camp meeting.

Pick Up A Shuttle • Our complimentary shuttle service will help transport you across campus. Wave down a shuttle or ask a security officer to call a shuttle for you.

Looking for Someone? • Camp meeting happens on a large campus with the ebb-and-flow of hundreds of people in attendance.
 
  • If someone is staying on campus, find a roster at Guest Services and the Information Booth.
  • If someone is commuting, your best option is to look for your friend at meetings or arrange a specific meeting place.
  • If you are trying to contact a speaker, a specific pastor, or a conference administrator, Guest Services and the Little Conference Office staff can write down and deliver your message.

Red & Yellow Ribbons • You'll notice ribbons on the collars of service animals. A red ribbon means, "Do not touch." A yellow ribbon means, "Ask to touch." Registered pets (not service animals) will have an additional hot pink ribbon on their collar. Pets are only allowed at your personal camp site and are not allowed in any buildings or common areas.

Public Restrooms • Most buildings on campus have a public restroom including the Administration Building, Spady Hall, both dorms, the cafeteria, Littlejohn Hall, Miller Aquatics Center (closest option to Rainier Auditorium), AAA Church, and two bath houses. A few portable restrooms are available, too.

Cafeteria Prices • AAA Cafeteria prices are $7 for breakfast and $8 for lunch and supper (this is an update from the published prices in the program). Children age 5 and under charged $1 per age.

Live Stream • Rainier Auditorium programs are streamed live via YouTube at www.washingtonconference.org/live. Invite your family and friends to watch!

Plan for Next Year • Washington Adventist Camp Meeting will be held next year from Thursday, June 15, to Sabbath, June 24, 2017.


First Weekend (First Friday to Sunday)
Berry Delicious • Blueberry Hill Berries will be sampling their new frozen Sorbatto dessert on Friday, June 17, Sunday, June 19, and Monday, June 20 at Auburn ABC. This new product is all natural with only four ingredients and comes in four flavors. Pint containers will be available for sale.

Taste What's New • Loma Linda's newer canned products will be available to sample all week long at Auburn ABC (from Friday to Friday) at 11 am to 2 pm. It is also important for you to know that the former Worthington canned products are now sold under the Loma Linda label. These are manufactured in the same plant with no change to the recipes since 2009. Only the name has changed!

Sabbath Meal Ticket • Pre-purchase your Sabbath meal ticket for the AAA cafeteria. Sabbath meal tickets are available at the AAA business office on Thursday until 3 pm. Check for posted hours for Friday.

Car Wash • Buena Vista's eighth grade will hold a car wash on Friday, June 17, at Buena Vista Elementary School, from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm. Donations for class activities will be gladly accepted.

Free Bread • Pick up a free loaf of bread to enjoy at camp meeting! A variety of breads will be available Friday from noon to 7 pm at Community Hall (west side). Any remaining bread will be available Sunday morning at 10 am (when you come to drop off your Used Book Sale donations).

First Time AAA Visitor?  Schedule an Auburn Adventist Academy school tour at the Growth and Development office in the Ad Building.

Adventist Deaf Ministries • Sign language interpreting will be available First and Second Weekends in Rainier Auditorium (front left section) for Sabbath School and church. Russian Translation • Friday night and Sabbath meetings are live translated into Russian in Rainier Auditorium. Headsets available in the auditorium back.

Oasis Program • The Oasis program for 20- and 30-somethings will only be meeting First Weekend of camp meeting (Friday night and Sabbath). The Oasis program, featuring Philip Sizemore from Missouri, will be held in the Buena Vista Elementary gymnasium.

Orion Chorale • Orion Chorale of Washington State is seeking singers for all sections. If you would like to try out for this music ministry, please meet with Mrs. Connie Barrow immediately after the church service at the Rainier Auditorium piano. Church & Ministry Potlucks Browse through a list of churches and ministry groups who will be gathering for potluck luncheons at Washington Adventist Camp Meeting on Saturday, June 18. We recommend bringing picnic-style food, your own serving tables, and extra camp chairs or a picnic blanket. You are welcome to join any group or have your own family picnic.

Prison Ministry Fellowship • Active in prison ministry? Interested in joining? Attend the Prison Ministry Fellowship luncheon meeting on First Sabbath from 1-3 pm in Ad Building #11. Walt Perham will lead a ministry discussion over potluck lunch about ministry activities and future plans for prison ministries.

Gospel Sing-Along • Bring your voices and your soft-toned instruments for a fun Gospel Sing-Along on First Sabbath at 2 pm in the Junior Tent. Please note a change from Second to First Sabbath.

SAGE Outdoor Canopy • Seniors ages 50 or better are invited to stop by the SAGE Canopy (next to Rainier Auditorium) for a casual Sabbath afternoon visit and special treat on First and Second Sabbath from 2-7 pm.

Education Hour • Come join us Sabbath, June 18, at 3 pm in Rainier Auditorium as our schools share how the Lord has blessed this year in Adventist education.

Prison Ministry Committee of 100 • Attend a meeting with the Prison Ministry Committee of 100 to learn more about funding the new transitional house for returning citizens. Colette Newer will lead the meeting on First Sabbath from 4:30-5:30 pm in Ad Building #13.

Adventist Singles Activities • Adventist singles are invited to lunch and a hot dog supper both Sabbaths at Tent Site G-522. Bring picnic-style food and chairs. Plus join a casual, Dutch-treat outing to Denny’s in Auburn on Saturday night at 9:30 pm. Questions? Call Barb Smith at (360) 620-2287.

Reclaim Initiative • Come learn how to restore relationships with former and inactive church members. Attendees on First Sabbath from 4:30-5:30 pm in Ad Building #11 should come prepared to grapple with some of the reasons why members leave the church and strategies that seem to currently work in reconnecting them to church fellowship. Coordinator: Byron Dulan.

Personal Ministries Leader’s Meeting • Effective ministry seeks not only action, but results. Is your ministry all that it can be? Join a discussion on First Sabbath from 5:30-7 pm in Ad Building #11 to discover how to maximize the impact of your ministry. Coordinator: Byron Dulan.

Meet the Principal  Get to know Auburn Adventist Academy principal, John Soulé, at the AAA Booth (by Witzel Hall) First Sabbath from 6 pm to 7 pm.

Sunset Lake Camp • Evangelism has never been more fun than at Sunset Lake Camp. Last summer nearly 1 in every 3 campers made the decision to be baptized. You can be a part of what God is doing at Sunset Lake Camp by sponsoring a child for a week of camp. Stop by our booth or give us a call at 360-829-0311 to learn more about how you can be involved in the powerful ministry.

Ministry Training Day • Are you a new church leader? Looking for ministry resources? Come to our Day of Ministry Training on Sunday. Attend two 75-minute training sessions at 9:30 am and 11 am for ministry leaders who are elders, deacons, deaconesses, clerks, treasurers, disaster response volunteers, photographers, social media managers, youth leaders, prayer warriors and more. Donate Your Books • Drop off your donation of treasured Adventist books Sunday and Wednesday between 10 am and 6 pm at the Used Book Sale location (west side of Community Hall).

Adventist Rodders Show • Attend the Adventist Rodders Car Show on Sunday from 12-3 pm near the Gazebo. Display your classic car or motorcycle. Come view the classic car collection. Enjoy a time of fellowship!

Disaster Response Van • Let us introduce you to the Adventist Disaster Response Trailer designed to reach out to hurting communities in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. Come take a tour and learn how to get involved in this ministry on Sunday from 1-3 pm by the Gazebo/Car Show! Tour guide: Richard Martin.

Auburn ABC Tent Sale • The former Auditorium Sale has been moved to a new location! The book sale this year will be in front of Auburn ABC store on Sunday from 1-3 pm. Come early for special deals! This is the best sale of the year for new books from Pacific Press! Author/Pastor John Brunt will be there to present his new book and will be available for autographs following the sale.

Western ACS Federation Meeting • Churches associated with the Western ACS Federation are invited to a meeting on Sunday at 1:30 pm at Glenna Lamatry's RV site C306.

ACS Federation: “Food for Thought” • Local church Adventist Community Service leaders and representatives will meet on Sunday from 3-5 pm in Ad Building #13 to make ACS Federation strategic plans for greater training and collaboration in ministry throughout western Washington. Register to attend at ACSfederation.eventbrite.com. Coordinator: Cheryl Brown.

Adventist Disaster Response Trailer Driver Orientation and Training • Have a heavy duty pickup truck and willing to transport a newly renovated 18 foot cargo trailer to assist churches in immediately responding to small and large local disasters? Attend a Driver’s Orientation and Training on Sunday from 4-5:30 pm in Ad Building #11 regarding safe and proper use of the vehicle and the collection and distribution of goods. Please bring your driver’s license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance.

Preparing for Baptism Class • Want to commit your life to following Jesus? Join Amanda Sanders for a baptism preparation class in Witzel Chapel on Sunday-Second Thursday from 6:15-6:45 pm.

Mike McBride's Music • You'll hear trombonist Mike McBride play for special music during the Sunday, June 19, evening program in Rainier Auditorium. Auburn ABC will have his new CD available throughout camp meeting for the special price of $13.99.

Ministry Partnership • This summer Sunset Lake Camp, in cooperation with the WISE Program, is hosting campers from both Taiwan and China. Each week 20 international campers will join us to sharpen their English skills, interact with our culture and experience new adventures. This is a great way for us to extend our ministry across the globe. Pray that God will touch the lives of these campers.


Weekdays (Monday-Friday)
Pastors’ Meetings • Washington Conference pastors and staff have a daily meeting, Monday through Friday, at 8:15 am in Auburn Adventist Academy Church.

Daily Workshops • Our three sessions of daily workshops (at 9:30 am, 2:30 pm and 4 pm) begin on Monday. Your class options include topics on spiritual growth, family life, health and wellness, ministry training and hobbies (like guitar playing and birding). See the complete list of workshop options in your Program Guide. Expand your thinking with these discipleship workshops!

Reservations for Next Year • Make lodging reservations for next year by making arrangements at Guest Services (Locating). Hours of service: 9 am to 7 pm.

  • RV Renewal - Monday and Tuesday. RV campers can renew their present RV sites by pre-registering and paying next year’s fee at Guest Services on Monday and Tuesday, June 20 and 21, from 9 am to 7 pm. If you are in an RV site, please bring your license plate number with you.
  • New RV Reservation - Wednesday to Friday. Those who want to make changes or sign up for new RV locations may do so Wednesday, June 22 to Friday, June 24, from 9 am to 7 pm at Guest Services.
  • Tent, Dorm & Campsite Renewal - Wednesday and Thursday. Tent, boy’s dorm and u-pitch campsite residents can renew their present accommodations by pre-registering and paying next year’s fee at Guest Services on Wednesday and Thursday, June 22 & 23, from 9 am to 7 pm. Not all dorm rooms are available for renewal.
  • New Tent, Dorm & Campsite Reservation - Friday. Those who want to make changes or sign up for new accommodations may do so Friday, June 24, from 9 am to 7 pm at Guest Services. This is “open season” day for changes, new reservations and waitlists.
Activities for Children & Youth • Pathfinders is offering six classes on scrapbooking, insects, drill & march, miniature camp craft, digital photography and dinosaurs. Adventurers are offering two awards for Magnets and Parables of Jesus. The best part? You don’t have to be part of a club to participate!

Pathfinder Fun Tent • Pathfinders and friends are invited to stop by the Pathfinder Fun Tent for activities daily from 10 am to 12 noon.

Handbell Class Cancelled • The “Ring the Bells” class scheduled for 9:30-10:45 am is cancelled. 

Will Clinic for Parents of Young Children •  Learn how to develop a family estate plan that provides legal guardianship, care and education provisions (that will stand the test of law) for your most valuable assets — your children. This clinic is presented in the Band Room on Monday from 1:30-3 pm and repeated on Wednesday. Presenter: Peter Rampton, Trust officer, and guests.

Charitable Gift Annuities & the Permanent IRA Rollover • Understand the simple rudiments of flexible and affordable financial instruments that allow you to support what you love and that yield financial rewards from now through eternity! This clinic is presented in the Band Room on Tuesday from 1:30-3 pm and repeated on Thursday. Presenter: Peter Rampton.

AAA - Join the Family • The Auburn Adventist Academy outdoor booth (by Witzel Hall) provides student activities each afternoon from 1:30-7 pm! Come make some new friends while playing volleyball and badminton!

Monday Night • This evening the Sunset Lake Staff will be on the camp meeting grounds. From 6 pm until just before the evening meeting we will be hosting games for the kids. After the evening meeting you are invited to join our staff at the Gazebo for a time of praise and worship. We are excited to be with you today!

Education Drawings • Washington Conference Office of Education is holding several drawings this week: Three eligible students will win one month’s free tuition to a Washington Conference school. (To qualify, this must be the first time that a child in the family will enroll in an SDA school. Conference employees are not eligible.) Also, five children in grades K-12 will be chosen for a $20 Auburn ABC gift certificate. Enter Sunday-Thursday between 2-4 p.m. in Littlejohn Hall Classroom #1; winning entries will be posted the next morning.

Art Contest Winners • Washington Conference Office of Education hosted an art contest for grades K-12 with a theme of “Water.” The winning entries are on display in Rainier Auditorium!

Visit Our Ministry Partners • Our ministry partners have booths set up around the parameter of Rainier Auditorium. Visit with them. Listen to their stories. Pray with them. Pick up the information they are sharing. Learn how God is at work through their ministries!

Individual & Family Estate Clinic • Prepare (or update) your estate plan, including wills, revocable trusts, power of attorney, community property agreement, and health care directives for final draft from Monday through Friday from 9 am to 12 noon (personal appointments) or attend clinic sessions Monday through Thursday from 1:30 - 3 pm (see page 12 for clinic topics). Attorney and notary available. Appointment recommended by calling Rita at (253) 681-6008.

Free Health Screening • Tacoma Central Church will host a free health screening on Tuesday and Wednesday from 7:30-9 am in Rainier Auditorium. Assessment includes: blood pressure, blood sugar, weight and BMI. Fasting recommended. Cholesterol screening is $5.

Curry On Over • Hurry on over to Auburn ABC on Tuesday, June 21, and Friday, June 24, to sample Aunty Saro's Kitchen curry sauces. Curry samples will be available from 11 am to 2 pm. Come try a product that is made right here in western Washington!

Catch the Vision • Stop by the Growth & Development booth in Rainier Auditorium for information about beginning a Vision for Growth initiative at your church. 

Used Book Sale • Browse the Used Book Sale Tuesday to the Second Friday from 1-5 pm in Community Hall (west side). Cash and checks accepted.

Red Hat Luncheon • Wear red and purple western attire for the 11th annual “Western Hoedown” Red Hatters Luncheon on Wednesday at 12:15 pm in the cafeteria. Lunch: $8.

Camp Scholarships • The Sunset Lake Scholarship program sends up to 150 kids to camp each summer who couldn’t afford to come to camp any other way. If camp seems like an impossibility for your family, stop by the Sunset Lake booth and ask how you can be a part of this program. Thanks to the generosity of the Washington Conference, in the past 12 years of camp ministry we have never turned a camper away because they couldn’t afford camp!

Just Like Grandma's • Creative Cuisine will be sampling their frozen gluten steaks on Thursday, June 23, and Friday, June 24, at Auburn ABC. These are the best veggie steaks next to the ones Grandma used to make in her kitchen!

Blood Drive • Cascade Regional Blood Van will be parked by Miller Aquatics Center on Second Thursday and Second Friday from 1-5 pm. Eat well. Drink water. Avoid caffeine. Bring ID.

Camps for Teens • Sunset Lake Camp loves teens. We have more than five different options for our teen campers. Rock Climbing Camp, Aquatics Camp, Teen Camp, Lifeguarding Camp, Festival of the Arts, and Advanced Horsemanship are just some of the options available. If you have a teenager at home, encourage them to spend a week with us. It could change their lives!

Car Wash • Buena Vista's eighth grade will hold a car wash on Friday, June 24, at Buena Vista Elementary School, from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm. Donations for class activities will be gladly accepted.

Book Auction • The Used Book Sale will have a live Book Auction on Second Friday at 1:30 pm. The auction items will be displayed throughout the week. You must be present to bid and win.

Pathfinder Investiture • Show your support for young people who completed Pathfinder honors at camp meeting by attending Investiture on Second Friday at 4 pm in Community Hall.

Sunset Lake Camp • Friday night, our staff will dedicate themselves for their summer of ministry. We want to be used by God in a powerful way. Please join us today in prayer that God will have free reign in our lives and on the grounds of Sunset Lake Camp. If you haven’t stopped by our booth, Friday is the last day to come and visit with us.

Who Do You Know? • Get money off your Auburn Adventist Academy tuition for helping us find new students! For more information, stop by the AAA Booth.

Daily AAA Drawing Drop by the Auburn Adventist Academy Booth to register for a daily drawing for AAA t-shirts and water bottles.

AAA Alumni! • If you graduated from Auburn, make sure the Alumni department has your correct information. Stop by the Growth and Development Department in Ad Building or fill out your correct contact information online at www.auburnacademy.org under Alumni > Alumni Contact Update.

Help Us Improve Camp Meeting • Fill out a pink or online evaluation form (available in several places around campus) and share with us how we may improve the camp meeting program and experience.

Sabbath Afternoon Concert • Baritone Wintley Phipps will be in concert Sabbath at 3 pm in Rainier Auditorium.

Financial Empowerment Ministries • Programs that help people achieve financially stable households can be powerful and rewarding ministries. Join a discussion on Second Sabbath from 4:30-5:30 pm in Ad Building #13 about what can be done through your church. Coordinator: Colette Newer.

Thrift Store Ministry Meeting • Thrift stores offer unique opportunities for ministry. Learn on Second Sabbath from 5-6 pm in Ad Building #11 about how you may get involved in thrift store ministry! Coordinator: Ira Bartolome.

Transition Housing Info Meeting • Plans are underway to open a transition home for released prisoners in western Washington. Studies show that returning citizens are most vulnerable to recidivism during the first 3-6 months of their re-entry into society. This meeting on Second Sabbath from 6-7 pm in Ad Building #13 is open to anyone motivated to provide a safe and spiritually enriching place of residence for those recently released from incarceration. Coordinator: Floyd Marshall.

Hello from Sunset Lake • The Sunset Lake Camp Staff is excited to worship with you today. Take time to greet our staff and let them know you are praying for them. Each week we will be sending a short video report of what God is doing at camp to your church. Check with your pastor to be sure that these videos are being shown.

Lost & Found • Claim missing items at the Information Booth or Guest Services. Items of value will be held for about two weeks at the conference office (253-681-6008).

Media Shack • Pre-ordered CDs and DVDs are available for you to pick up on Saturday night or Sunday morning. New orders will be shipped to you. Make arrangements by calling (253) 833-9722 or talking with a Media Shack representative.

Used Book Sale • Your final opportunity to pick up a treasured book (or 10!) at the Used Book Sale will be Saturday night after the evening meeting until 10 pm.

Future Ministry Events
Festival of the Arts • The Festival of the Arts is our newest camp at Sunset Lake Camp. This week features classes in both performing and visual art. Choir, string ensemble, drama, music production, pottery, woodworking, culinary, drawing and painting are all part of the week. The week ends with a Saturday night concert for parents. Don’t miss this amazing camp from August 7-13!

WWU Alumni Rosario Sabbath • Join alumni and friends for a Sabbath at Rosario Beach Marine Laboratory on August 27, 2016. David Thomas, Dean of the School of Theology, will be the weekend speaker. Activities will include a worship service, Sabbath lunch, nature walk, hot dog roast, sundown worship on the beach, a bonfire with smores, and lots of great music and fellowship. Make it a weekend get-away by arriving Friday evening for soup, salad, and cornbread (begins at 6:00 pm) followed by sundown vespers. Eastside Golf Tournament • Eastside Adventist Fellowship's annual golf tournament will be benefiting Puget Sound Adventist Academy's Tuition Assistance Program (TAP).  The golf tournament will be held Sunday, August 28, at 1:30 pm at The Golf Club at Redmond Ridge (11825 Trilogy Parkway NE, Redmond, WA 98053). The early bird entrance fee is $130 with a deadline of July 17. The regular entrance fee is $150 after July 17. Adventist Health Study-2 • Black Adventist members, compared to Black people of other faith traditions, have lower rates of smoking, drinking alcohol, and consuming meat, and higher rates of vegetarianism and water consumption. Studies show that certain diseases disproportionately affect people of African descent. VBS Rentals • Need to borrow or rent Vacation Bible School materials? Washington Conference Children's Ministries department has two (2) Kidsville kits and one (1) CaveQuest kit for you to use and return. You may also rent backdrops for $50 each, and inventory includes two (2) CaveQuest backdrops and one (1) Norway backdrop. Four (4) Kidsville backdrops are available to rent for $75 each. 40-Day Marriage Revival Challenge • Plan now to participate in a call to prayer on behalf of marriages. Beginning August 7 spouses will make a commitment to pray together for five minutes a day for 40 days. Other activities for couples, such as a weekly date night and conference call, are part of the challenge. This event is sponsored by the Renton SDA Church in partnership with Richie and Timari Brower of Marriage Conversion University.
